In most college English classes you would do a lot
to every time you went there. But in Mr. Sweeny's English 100 class.... Let's
just say they are moments where the students and the teacher are just staring
at each other. Not that I'm complaining or anything. I actually enjoy the class
because the times where we're not staring blankly at Mr. Sweeny the class is
filled with bad jokes and brainstorming. I’d be lying if I said I don't look
forward to being in English class Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11:00
every week. Just by the couple weeks spent in the class and you would
understand. Regardless of the somewhat jokes Mr. Sweeny gives I can tell he’s
an excellent teacher and I hope those who in his class or those who are soon to
be in his class will feel the same way. Because as soon as I find out whether
or not he teaches English 101 you can rest assure that I will be the first one
to sign up for his class. And if he does not then you already know who I will
be going to for help. And for those who don’t have Sweeny… well I feel sorry
for you
You're right. Mr. Sweeney is great teacher to have for English here at RBC. I have him for English 102 and it's great. The class is not too difficult and we get to read small short stories (most of which you probably have already read in high school). Pertaining to your concern, he does teach other class other than 100 so you should most certainly sign up. The nice thing about his class is that you decide which grade you receive. Unless you wish to do poorly, there is no way to fail Sweeney's course.
